GIBBO 3NT opening lead 10 from QT86

How do you think I should have defended? Just another 3NT VUL made. Just another $3.17

Crazy lead admittedly, gave you no chance of reading the position, but given the vulnerability why aren't you opening 1, some would even say 2 with the South hand? I would do at rubber every day of the week, then they might not have been in 3NT in the first place.

true. @rubber bridge 2H every time. Negatives here were 2 aces, no AT9... in hearts, 4 spades etc. Note in this case if I bid 2H they would still reach 3NT and now GIBBO might faithfully lead a heart and defense is over.
