There is a fair chance, that you get doubled
in the next round.

Partner is counting on you for 7 or 8 HCP and a small doubleton spade in order to make 3♠ a playable spot. This is, roughly, what you have.

I pass as well. Qx in clubs is an awful holding. I don't have a fit for partner. My Jxxxx of hearts is fairly worthless. RHO passed, so it looks like a misfit auction. Etc. etc.
Last time I checked, partner's overcall even at the 3-level was NF. wtp?

Pass. Is there really another valid choice?

The problem is 3♠ isn't game unless we are playng rubber and we made a partscore before.
I would bid 3NT.

Pass, but it is close
You need to know partner's style here. if he is a maniac, pass is clear.
If he is solid, then 3N has real attraction: LHO isn't laying down the AK from AKxxxx in ♣, and, anyway, partner may help us out in that suit. If partner holds AKJxxx xx Kxx Kx, we run for 9 tricks in 3N, and even if he is weakish, they may not double and if they do, we may be able to run to a red suit (unlikely) or escape utter catastrophe in 4♠. But if he is the kind of player who overalls 5 card suits on 13 counts, then pass.
BTW, after 3N, and P P double, what are we bidding? If you cannot answer that, pass instead of 3N. I like redouble to say: I have doubt: I'm not sure that redouble sufficiently expresses my doubt on this hand
So I am a reluctant passer, thankful that we are not red.

Let me tell you what I did at the table, but I am afraid that it is not going to be very interesting. I had this hand in an 8-board individual tournament on BBO, I was up about 20 IMPs after the first 5 hands.
I chose 3NT, with the thought that the weak opponents were unlikely to double, and that the upside of 3NT was much larger than that of 3S.
They led a club, partner had 10x and my Q won the trick. Good start, and I managed to take 2 more tricks for down 6. Partner didn't have much, I told you the story wasn't interesting.
I think that pass is right when playing real bridge.

Pass, my hand is not very good with no spade fit and Qx of clubs and just 9 points to begin with anyways.
