Where can I find an article on which card to return after taking first trick in NT, so that partner can determine how many I have left in that suit. If 2 LEFT, return the highest on, if 3 left , lead back the original 4th best. I need a reference! Is it called remainder count?

There are a few ways to play that, but high from doubleton and original 4th best from 3 is indeed one of the most common ways to play it.
I think Kantar's books on defense have that somewhere.

As a follow up to what whereagles suggests, Kantar writes about the topic in 3 of his books:
"Defensive Play Complete".
"Kantar for Defense 1".
"Kantar for Defense 2".
I believe that you can get all 3 at Bridge World's bookshelf. Maybe the first one is sold out.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice
