1. PD promised 5 Hearts 5 Clubs, some points and more spades then Diamonds.
Looks like an ugly misfit. :-)
I prefer 5 Diaomnd . Despite my strong hand, I doubt that we will reach any makable contract and 5 Diamond is the best guess.

2. I ruff and let the diamond jack run.

3. a Spade trying to establish the suit for discards.

4. X, the xx in Diamonds makes me fear, that 5 Spade may not work here. But I don´t see, how they can get 4 tricks outside diamonds. so I X with confidence.
And yes I absolute agree with the Double of 4 NT.

5. pass and Q of Spade.
Kind Regards

Roland

1. Hum.. looks like responder misbid, but ok. I'm going to bid 5 now, on pard's void, hoping to lose 2 diams or 1 diam and 1 club. Seems safer than being heart-forced in 4.. lol.

2. Ruff and run the J. If it holds, back to hand on a trump and lead a diamond to the ace. If it loses, ruff heart, draw trump and you can probably claim at that stage.

3. Setup spades, wtp?

4. I take it pard would have doubled with a doubleton diamond. Since I don't think we can set this more than 2, I'll try my luck in 5, albeit with trepidation. Dbl of 4NT is ok.

5. Seems like pard has spades locked up. Pass and lead Q.

Easy set.. lol.

1) pass; there are probably more options in 4 than in 5 opposite a void.

4) Dbl 4NT then 5, as partner is unlikely to hold more than one diamond for his pass of 5.
