Hi,
I repost my problem in a new topic (no reponse after posting in an existing topic)

I'm trying to upload deals into a training bidding room. Goal is to use more accurately selected hands to work on very specific part of bidding system.

In training bidding room, only LIN format seems to be allowed (no possibility to open a PBN file in movie utility (a click on open in movie allows only files of bridge movie file type = LIN) / a PBN file renamed with a .LIN extension doesn't work).

I succeed in opening a multi deals LIN file. Within the movie screen everything seems to work well (i can see all the deals (and all the hands) that are in my file - dealer and vulnerability are as defined in the file)...

When I click the send button it seems to work and I can bid the first deal without problem...

but...

after finishing the first deal I click on the redeal button and instead of the second deal of my file I received (beetween 1 and 5 times) the popup message warning me that there are no more deals and that new deals will be generated randomly...

More details : if in the movie windows I highlight the line corresponding to the second deal and then click again on the send button, players receive the cards of the second deal but dealer (and perhaps vulnerability too - not sure about this point) is not as described in the file (in my file N is the dealer for all deals, in the bidding room E is the dealer for the second deal (normal rotation!)).
Click on redeal after this second deal produces the same result as after the first : warning messages and random deals...

I've tried some variations in the content of my file (introducing bids, card play, a closed room,...) with no success.
I use the qx tag (like "qx|o1|md ...") which, from what I've red, must be used for multi-deals files.

Am I missing something or is there a limitation in BBO?
Any information about this point will be welcome (an example multi deals file working in training bidding room would be a great (and probably sufficient) help!)

Thanks a lot

I know a little bit about this , you know they say a little knowledge is dangerous but here goes, this mayget you started.

To load the next deal you must click movie, the board # then send, redeal will generate a random hand.

I think perhaps the board number over rules what you set as dealer.
I use the board number to determine dealer and vulnerability. Board1 dealer N, NV, Board2 East NV, Board3 South N V, 4 W, all V and so on.
So my lin file could consist of hands 1,5,9,13 etc to set North as dealer.

Thank you for your reply (which for me is only a workaround) ... I was already aware that highlighting another deal and hitting send button will load this new deal but your response gave me the idea to do further testing...

Conclusion : Nothing is really clear :)
For example :

Deal x vulnerability All Dealer North is always loaded in BBO as Deal 13 (which is the first deal where North is Dealer and vulnerability is all)

Deal 2 Vulnerability NS Dealer North is loaded as Deal 2 NS vul and East Dealer

Important point : when loaded in the movie window the deals have number, dealer and vul as in LIN file but once highlighted initial value for Dealer is overidded by BBO (and are lost for ever -> ie if you highligth another deal and put your mouse on the previous one you see the overidded value)....

I would really like
1) That BBO cope with the values of the LIN file (without changing them)
2) To be able to use the Redeal Button (as explained in BBO's Help) to bid the next deal of my file (stuff with the movie button is tiring, not user error free and you must make a conscious effort not to have a look at partner's hand :))

Still hoping a real solution :)
