The basic version is fine.

But the beta version... I get problems with my screen.

Frends and yellows become all yellows, horizontal stripe across screen, and the top right bidding box disappears... as a TD, it is vital for me to see the bidding....

Even looking at Movies, I get the symbol source font @ e.g. instead of the card symbol.

Help! I am using Windows XP.

This is the first report that I have heard like this.

Can you please try restarting your PC and then
log in again with the beta and see if that helps.

If it doesn't if you could describe the circumstances
under which these problems occur (ie do they start
as soon as you log in? do they always start within
a few minutes of logging in? Are some BBO sessions
without this problem? etc.) it would be helpful.

I also experience the same problem. Again i'm using Windows XP. After the installation of the beta i cannot see the card symbols. No other screen issues although. Strange ....

I still have that symbols problem. I even installed a bunch of true type fonts but nothing happened. I tried reinstalling the BBO software a few times. Please let someone who has experienced the same and fixed it share their knowledge. :(

Take a look at this thread... and you will see what FRED had to say about this problem. I know he is travelling so if you email him now, he will not answer for a while. Maybe someone else can solve this font problem for you.

I've seen this problem under 2 scenarios

a) A true type font has been corrupted ( the SYMBOL font )
b) Something in the beta is messing up

Case (a) is more frequent but i'm betting on (b). If you send an email to support@bridgebase.com ( and mention that your symbol font is corrupted ) someone will send back a symbol font to try out. Else we'll have to wait for FG .

Thank you for the suggestion. I reinstalled the symbol.ttf and that fixed my problem.
