two problems

I have installed the newest version of BBO and encountered two problems:
1. I couldn't register my account, because it asked me to choose my country
from a choosebox, which was empty. I installed an older version of BBO
and it worked. However, when I reinstalled the new one again, I can't change
my profile for the same reason.
2. A friend of mine is also using BBO at my home university. Whenever she
logs in, the server kicks me out and vice versa. I think our university uses
a masquerade so that all our outgoing connections have the same IP.
Might it be the cause of this problem?

best regards,
Wojtek

Hi, I have the same problem with my university.

Before the new versions (think from 3.5 onwards) I had installed BBO into my student account on the server, and could access any time I wish to. But after, it gives me the same problem as you--no flags.
What I do is, I download it again, everytime I use a new computer I download it, lol. That works for me.

Not sure about your other problems. Rain

There is one case where BBO will boot X when Y logs in, etc. This is when the University uses Citrix or somesuch so that all connections to our server appear to come from the same physical PC (the citrix machine).

Almost always, different PCs via the same gateway dont cause a problem.

If you can email uday at bridgebase dot com with your username and the username of your friend, I will be able to setup an exception in your case to allow the "duplicate" logins.

Hello all,

Could this also have something to do with that, that all the german players I have in my friends, now have Spain as their country and flag :)

I suspect it has more to do with solidarity with Spain in this time of tragedy in their country. I am flying a spanish flag for a week myself.
