Anne, I can understand your irritation at rho... but I don't think that this is the place to post. This is a forum about bridge, not about conflicts between players online.

If you feel the need to go public, why not post in the general bbo forum, where concerns about bridge on bbo, rather than concerns about bridge, is encouraged?

That is where to post if you think that BBO should be doing more to prevent/punish this type of offence.. altho my advice would be not to post even there until and unless you perceived that BBO was refusing to act... and everything I have read, heard, and know about BBO and its organizers tells me that they do indeed take these matters very seriously.

What do you expect to happen as a result of airing your situation? Fred obviously reads these posts, and I suspect that you will be hearing from him, directly or indirectly, but it is apparent that BBO is already looking into the specific case, it being witnessed by a yellow.

If I were on the abuse committee, I'd respond that all parties concerned seem to be idiots (most of all the Yellow who is wasting my time with this)

RHO's comment was boorish and immature. However, this the Internet. Its full of boorish immature louts.

You decided to rise, take the bait, and start making person insults. True, calling someone a jerk is relatively minor. However, you still personalized the matter.

RHO responded by calling you a bitch. You insulted him. He insults you back. Horrors.

Now, some idiot Yellow is wasting my time trying to sort out a situation with no good solution. The Yellow could ahve handled this himself by asking folks to grow up - its not like I'm going to do anything different - However, rather than taking a very small bull by the horns; said Yellow is leading folks on by invoking the magic words "Abuse".

One last point: I suspect that you're well aware than anyone can look up your hand records and immediate determine who RHO was. Adding all the salacious details about his getting banned for calling people cheats strikes me as classic passive aggressive behaviour.

I think you are being unfair to the yellow, that may well have had, private conversations with players at the table........ that you are not aware of nor will anyone else be

call me a jerk, I think I have every right to call you an unpleasant bitch (it was not me btw) but I think that is fair,

if you call someone a jerk that only states this is fun (assuming the worse abbreviation at the table for fg was unprintable in the forums) a more tactful response was thanks very much all, time for me to leave the table, I do not like the language nor the company good bye and start a new table elsewhere

I see nothing in your post that comes under the general bridge heading, you have been on BBO long enough to know that you can raise the issue with abuse yourself, rather than making it public on the forums and yes we can now see who the other three people will be at the table by looking up in myhands

The original post had been removed when I checked the thread.

but i am reminded of an online TD who has a sure fire way of making the game continue.

he simply states:

All must continue the game in silence.

If people try to protest or explain or complain of innjury, he goes on:

SILENCE, I SAID ABSOLUTE SILENCE.

It works. No more grown up people calling for mommy.
