V vs NV at IMPs, playing 2/1, you hold:

x
AKJ9xxx
JT
AKx

Partner deals (Uncontested):

1 - 2
3 - What's your plan?

Partner's opening was limited to 15 HCP.

3, intending to rebid hearts next. Hopefully pard will read this as a stronger hand than a direct 4 bid.

3 now. Not going to predict permutations.

Can't think of a standard system where I would not bid 3.

Get to game at minimum. 3H for now, though.

4.

But, fortunately I have discussed that in a bidding war between Opener and Responder about both majors, 4 shows a better hand than but similar to 4, whereas 4 shows a better hand than but similar to 4. Meaning, flag the major as a stronger bid than bidding the major.

I'm showing extras because my hearts are so good and because I have first-round club control. Since a perfect minimum (A, Q, AK) makes a grand reasonably likely to succeed, I better show purity.

1S was limited, but does 3d promises more than a min,
or could it be bid on any opening hand with 5-4 / 5-5?

4 sure sounds natural. Although in theory I prefer your way for sure.

seems like a normal 3H then 4D.

I think 4C is coming in either major.
