Just to be clear.

In some other thread it's about a defense against multi where Dbl (resp. 2) mean takeout of (resp. ). But what does "takeout of " really mean? Does it suggest opener has and we Dbl for takeout (being short in ), or does it mean we have the strength of a takeout Dbl with s?

It means you are short in spades and have support for the other 3 suits.

The key is the word "of" (spades)...meaning support for the other suits.

"Takeout WITH spades" would be the other meaning. This is sometimes used to describe a 2H overcall of a Flannery 2D (if that is the agreement).

Apparently someone didn't notice the language Free chose to ask the question.

Exactly, could be 4--3-3 though with weak spades.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

Ufff. I was pretty sure it means other suits, not spades but those posts surprised me before (finesse the queen !) so I was a bit nervous about my English again...

The results are still impressive taking into account that many posters on this forum are not native speakers and some of them (like me) learnt English from the internet... :)
