I have no complaint - but you gotta work hard. Lefty deals and opens 1S. P doubles. Righty 2S. You have an 18 count - flatish with AK8. You count your high cards. No. It is still 18. You count to youself - 12 for lefty, 12 for p, possibly could be a yarb for righty, tho probably isn't. Equals, someone is at least 2 points light for their bid - and maybe more. P is a lady of the older generation - who you've played with a several times before - not given to mad flights of fancy

you contemplate 3S. WTP. WTF, 3NT!

A spade is led and dummy tables with a 6 count, a 5 card heart suit, and a singletion spade!!!!!!! Now you got one stop, 24 hcp and, if you can drive out the enemy A in 2 rounds, 8 tricks. As luck would have it, the A comes down in 2, and on the run of the hearts lefty ditches diamonds, including the 10 and you've got AK98 opposite J42. You call for a low diamond and righty plays low. You play the 8. The bridge gods be praised, lefy has no more diamonds and you hurriedly claim 9.

There is no answer to this. I've played 114 boards this week. All 4 sessions as NS with the cards EW - lots of defending. I won't go into the personal details, but I had about 2 hours sleep before todays 36 boards. I could have done without this. I really could

Thnx 4 listenting.

It is the scoring.

In imps scoring, NS always get the cards.
In mps scoring , EW always get the cards.

My partners dont believe me.
But they have yet to prove me wrong.

I forwarded your mail to Oprah.
