Closest one around here is our California District 11 House of Representatives race.

Jerry McNerney (Dem)* 82,124 (47.5%)
David Harmer (Rep) 82,003 (47.5%)
*Incumbent

100% of precincts reporting.

With all precincts now reporting in Virginia’s 11th congressional district, freshman Democrat Gerry Connolly is leading Republican Keith Fimian by 820 votes with approximately 227,000 votes cast. Connolly edged Fimian out in 2008 by approx. 4 percent so maybe the third time will be the charm for the Fimster.

Results were delayed due to malfunctioning voting machines in 2 precincts.

Perhaps the most interesting race here was in the 5th district where Democrat Tom Perriello, who narrowly ousted a long time incumbent in 2008 on Obama's coattails, lost by 4 percent to Robert Hurt.

Very happy to see Fiorina and Whitman get shutout in California.

The Minnesota Governor recount started today.

Here in this part of Minnesota, we have a more interesting recount; the candidates for state representative were separated by 31 votes out of about 16,000 cast according to election night returns.
