Hi,

#0 I would not reach 6H

#1 Without lots off art. conv., I would just bid 4H
#2 This is a Lebensohl situation, so 3D in this seq. is stayman, so you could try this one out,
as an alternative, you could bid 3H (in the context of Lebensohl, the direct bids is usually
play as forcing, but see a different discussion on this forum, there was a minority, which
went through 2NT to create te force)
#3 The hand would be perfect for Rubensohk, which uses Transfers, that would allow you to show
the 2-suiter, I am not sure, if 3C or 3D is the transfer, but most likely 3C is taking over the
role of Stayman - I dont play Rubensohl

With kind regards
Marlowe

Texas is ON over interference:
So ( 1D ) - 1NT - ( 2D ) - 4D! would be a transfer to Ht.

But what is the 4D!-jump AFTER Lebensohl ?
(1D) - 1NT - (2D) - Leb2NT!
( p )- 3C! - (p) - 4D! = could it be the Majors, pick one ?

I play some sort of lebensohl/rubensohl extended with leaping michaels after intervention over our 1NT.

Here I can bid 4 showing a GF hand with 5-5M. Opener has a great hand, so he might make another move.

Why not 3? I think this gets a 3 cue from partner and you might get there, but it feels kind of random, although partner should be very bullish with those controls and Axxx.

I would bid 4C showing both majors. This is much more useful than Gerber imho. Second choice would be 3D (hearts) followed by 3S but even though that works on this hand it seems to me against the odds.

I want to show a game force with both majors. Playing garden variety Leb, I'd have to start with 3S and rebid 4H over 3NT to do that. Not ideal, but won't lead to any disasters unless notrumper is 2-2-4-5.

Would be nice to have a better way to show this. I imagine the Rubensohl-esque methods allow 3D then 3S.

For me system on so 2h=spades...so I will try 2h tfr to spades.

1d=1nt=2d=2h!
p=2s=p=3h
p=4c!=p=

4c=cue...agree hearts......super accept...

now I cant stop short of 6h.....

Would transferf to hearts, and then bid spades.
Please note: I am interested in boring, bog standard, 2/1.

4 Both majors for me.

North has enough to bid some sort of superaccept after which slam might be reached but it is not completely certain and would be a little random.

I still think that a direct 4D! is a Texas Transfer to Hts ( "Texas ON over Interference " )

So the 4D! after Leb2NT would = both Majors

Even with continued interference:
( 1D ) - 1NT - ( 2D ) - 2NT!
( 3D ) - p - ( p ) - 4D! should be both Majors

surely 3 is simple stayman where I could bid 4 over 3NT over partner's 3response I will call 3 and we may get to a slam.

There is no 'correct' answer, since it depends on methods.

If playing with someone where we have no agreement, I bid a simple 4, so as to find spades when partner is 4=2 and to find hearts when he is equal length....we also find spades when he is 3=2 and that should probably work ok.

If playing with some partners, I bid 3, forcing and natural. I prefer to play rubensohl or transfer lebenshol....in the 1st case I bid 3 and in the second 3...both being invitational or better transfers to hearts. Should partner merely bid 3, I will bid a forcing natural 3.

As it happens, partner should, over any 3-level heart showing action, cue 4 as a super-accept and I think we have a decent chance of reaching slam (we bid 4, partner cues again and off we go).
