On this hand, 3x looks like the par result, as 3 looks like it can make despite the poor split. So is there any blame? Did the all four players do as well as they should/have could have? I think there are some worthy points on this hand that could be highlighted. Anyone?.

I find these small mistake hands at least as interesting as the huge disaster hands.

Keep enlarging the page until the hand is readable i guess. In IE 200% is workable for me,,,,

3S is absurd, south has AQTx of diamonds!

Cashing the DK is absurd. This is an easy down 2 the way everything went.

How do you enlarge the hand diagram? And why is it so small anway?

Yup i cant read it either

East did absolutely fine.

West underbid a little with 3D but he has 3 small spades and no 5 card suit, so it might be pretty reasonable especially if the opps are solid (which they are not given LHOs 2S).

North's 2S is imo bad because partner will go overboard too often. I would just pass

The worst thing on this hand by far was the DK play it's not even close. Well I guess 3S is really bad also, I just find cardplay errors like that to be worse naturally since its like a 0 % play instead of 100 % play for a double undertrick.

With most of the common web browsers (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) you can zoom in with ctrl-plus, and zoom out with ctrl-minus.

That's what you should do if you want to simultaneously zoom in and switch the caps lock on.

Enlarging the webpage doesn't help me at all to make the diagram readable. It would really be nice if this problem could be solved systematically.

Must avoid card playing mistakes like that. Dummy is dead and west has nothing but convenient exit cards and still he opens the critical suit. Avoiding easy mistakes is so crucial.

I don't particularly mind north's 2. It has upsides but not in a layout as the present one.

South's 3 is strange with so strong diamonds. At mps I would double, probably also at imps. North would have to run from this obviously with nothing at all and a stiff diamond. I think that 3 would have gone down anyway though.
