Teams, they're red, you're white, and after 2 passes your RHO opens 2♣ and you hold:
♠KQ6543
♥J9
♦964
♣KJ
Do you enter the bidding? Why? Why not?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

I happy with 2♠ as I have no idea where this hand is going. I cannot pass, I leave the 2 level wide open for easy communication. Being so flat, I don't know why I would go to 3 ♠at this juncture..2♠says it all.

easy 2♠ maybe 3♠
I would bid 2♠ even with 5 spades. Make it as hard as you can for them to find fit and you
are giving partner a good safe lead

Wouldn't dream of passing. Kings behind the 2C bidder feels like a lot of defense to preempt insanely, so 2S is fine by me. I wouldn't be all that offended by someone who wanted to bid 3S at this vulnerability only.

too little ODR for 3S, but 2S should be fine. it obstructs responder's bid and opener's heart suit

An interesting hijack.
Do you all use your 1NT interfere scheme over 2C,2NT?
Of course some more playing strength/hutzpa is needed.
Or a special obstruct verses 2C?
Or undiscussed/natural?
I see psycho suction - my choice over 2C.

I wouldn't dream of passing.
I don't feel strongly between 2S and 3S, I would bid 2S without the 6th spade; I would bid 3S without the CK.

3♠
I find it clearcut because:
1) It's highly unlikely they will double me profitably.
2) They will bid game on appr. 99% of the boards. Might as well make their decisions as difficult as possible.

3♠, sometimes they will end up in 4♥/5m when 3NT is better or vice versa.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Honestly I would have bid 2♠ without thinking before but I think this thread convinced me of 3♠. takk
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
