Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

Yes, I open. I have an opening hand.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

On my pet system I can open 2C. Lacking that gadget I'm not sure what I'd open. Probably 3C.

I have an opening hand and we can easily have a minor suit game. 1♦ wtp.

I have a full opening, and still I think I would pass.
In case pard has a (min)hand with 4522, the bidding goes -lets assume opps are silent - 1♦ 1♥, 2♣ 2♦, and I am fighting for +90, though I am easily down.
In case pard has a flat 3433, opps have double fit in M, so they can always outbid me, and I might have pushed them to a positive partscore-result.
In case I would have been in overcaller-position, much easier. Now: difficult.

I'll open a diamond. Partner rates to be: 3-5-3-2 (or 3-5-2-3).
29 ZPs.
12 HCPs+shape.
5.5 losers.
I see no reason to pass.
