If I understand it well, with BAM scoring 420 versus 430 will score 1 (a win) for the 430 score and 0 (a loss) for the 420 score. What happens if I decide to weight the result on one table?

• 40% 420 and 60% 450 versus 100% 430 on the other table?

Total 0.6. There are situations in BAM where decimals of points are applied in ACBL events, clearly not for weighted scores because they do not apply, so this is just another method of getting such points. Opponents get 0.4, of course.

Thank you David. What do you mean with the application of "decimals of points"?

OK, I think I understand David's answer now: in the ACBL weighted scores are not applied in general. In the ACBL Law 12C1e is applied.

That is true, but in the ACBL there are situations where BAM scores involving decimals occur. The only one I can think of is where there is a percentage carry-forward, but there may be others, so the concept of decimal scores in BAM is not new.

Sorry, yes, I realised that, but sometimes the total scores come out as 23.68 or something.
