Well I think my decision of doublling was poor, partner bid 4
♥ and I wasn´t really worth a slam try anyway so passed it
I was surprised to see a 4
♠ bid from my LHO, with this vulnerability what could he be thinking about?.
Opponents get to 4
♠ vul vs not outgunned, now it was time to think that they probably have at least 10 trumps and now if partner hasa spade singleton, then every honnor in his hand is useful. Having
♥K,
♣A and
♦Q is very possible.
On the other hand I remmebered Justin saying something like pros won´t take high variance actions with small +EV. So I expected Seamons to have a very good hand for 4
♠ and double not to be highly profitable. So I moved on, had Jimmy been the one who bid 4
♠ I would be more inclined to double. I decided to move with 4NT, bidding 5
♥ over the expected 5
♣ in case Wank understood it as a slam try and decided to raise with the dream hand. Well he didn´t have anything close to the dream hand
.
