if partner got Qx hes going to be very agressive to make a courtesy raise so you shouldnt missed many games anyway.

but anything more than this and partner will bid 3C. IMO the range of hand where 3C is terrible is a lot higher than the hand you re going to miss game if you only bid 2C.
