I don't understand using the cue to merely establish any old game force. Responder has forcing or nonforcing (your choice) freebids and a negative double for hands without Diamond support, (or even with Diamond support). This leaves the 2S Cue for only hands with Diamond support and not 4 hearts; does Acol not have negative doubles in the kit?

Given the origin of the term "unassuming cue bid" I would imagine Acol was one of the earliest systems to adopt the cue as promising support. Negative doubles are also standard, although many club players only use them up to 2 or 3.

Thanks for all the replies. I really appreciated it.
From all this I decided that I am going to agree the following with my partner:
2S = invitational+ and also a stopper ask. Partner will bid 2/3NT with an outright stopper and 3D or anything else will deny an outright stopper.
However, he still may have Jx or Qx and therefore 3S will then ask to bid 3NT with this type of holding.
With a GF hand, we will start with 2S and after partner's response any other cue will show a GF hand.
3S = Splinter GF
4S = Exclusion Keycard

This maybe not the best, but I think I will be comfortable with it. Any agreement is better than none.
Regards
