I stopped posting my complaints about GIB as I thought it sounded like whining for no real purpose. But this one really got to me.
My link
GIB holds a 4333 hand with an Ace. When I doubled and competed suddenly GIB bids RKCB. This is incredibly absurd and got the expected result.
What is truly amazing in this IMP pair tournament is that my -200 result was plus IMPs.

actually GIB is 3=2=5=3 but your point valid, GIB bid a 3 card suit in response to a takeout double, doesn't it know this is a poor suit to go for game never mind slamming. Was willing to play in 3♣ and suddenly want to play in slam when you haven't shown significant extra values.
the description of 4N is hilarious 3+♣ 1+hcp 1- total points who goes for slam on that. partner would bid slam themselves if that's all they needed.
Sarcasm is a state of mind

Yes, 3C has no upper limit in the description, but surely it was non-forcing. If anything it is limited by the fact that both opponents are bidding their socks off, and generally GIB is not slow to trust the opponents. 4C was non-forcing and, furthermore, cannot be based on more values than whatever top limit is appropriate for a non-forcing 3C on the previous round.
What about North's 2C? It fits the description given, but what would pass have meant? An intention to defend 1SXX?? I hardly think so. Yes, he has a (marginal) preference for Clubs over Hearts, But given the availability of pass (and for that matter 1N) I would prefer 2C to show primary support for the suit. Happy to be overruled.

Balancing with GIB is so dangerous.

Wow. He could have 28 total points and just bid 3C
