impossibly timid bidding

When partner doubles for takeout, I think
any reasonable partner would be bidding 4M pretty quickly
with 5-6 in the majors and a side suit void!!!!

I would agree with your comment regarding GIB's action. My comment is about your own - your hand is an overcall, not a double. 15 relatively balanced HCP is not nearly enough to double and bid.

While my comment applies equally to playing with a human or GIB partner, you will find that GIB often will jump to game after a suit bid by partner, but almost never does so after a double.

If it is me,I never make this take-out,I overcall 1.
As for " timid",red Vs white,are you optimistic for 4 if holding 4324 with 10hcp or so?
