Just a personal note of repeated disappointment...
Shortly after my brother and I graduated, my folks got a divorce, with cheating involved.
Shortly after I left the church, the church imploded with one of the three pastors dead, one cheating on church finances, and one cheating on his wife.
Shortly after I left the Marion law firm, the firm dissolved when the lead partner cheated everyone out of their cut of a large settlement.
Shortly after I left Legal Aid, Legal Aid was cheated out of a renewal of a 50-year contract.
Shortly after I left the Cleveland law firm, the lead partner was suspended for cheating a client.
Shortly after I took a hiatus from tournament bridge to focus on my family, the bridge tournament world imploded in multiple cheating scandals.
I am getting used to disappointment, I guess. But, it feels like the Langoliers keep coming.
BTW, does anyone have a list somewhere of the casualty count? I cannot seem to find a list of all of the convicted, tried pending sentencing, accused, and under investigation folks. A complete list is desired for morbidity appeasement.

The Langoliers have reached bridge?

"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

It appears that if you ever visit us we should lock the doors and not let you leave.
Welcome to the Hotel California.
I retired in 2004 and the Math Department has, I think, become stronger since I left. I like to hope that there is no causal connection.
I can't help with the striving for morbidity. It's a noble goal, but I believe we all must find our own way through happiness to disaster. I manage.

I saw today that nationwide over a thousand cops have been fired for sexual misconduct, while Ben Carson leads in GOP polls. The bridge is toothpicks.

He'd better stay...
