Indeed RAMBBO ignores lead directing doubles usually when has 3+ in partner suit. Has worked out ok once you know it.

The more irritating case is 1c-1s-1nt by them. pass-pass-dbl by you where blurb says penalty lead spades and it does not.

I have even started ignoring where RAMBBO's double says biddable or rebiddable.

Am ok with the 3H jdonn. it is the blurb for 3cx that bothers me. "biddable clubs"

It's a penalty double. It's not SO weird to think this kind of hand could make one. I think you are being a little too literal in this instance.
