3♥ was described as 23+. Just going by points alone, the partnership can be off an ace and North has RKC available.

To coin a phrase, Blackwood is for winners
Realistically, why would you check for aces. It just cuts down the number of grand slams you can bid.

Pity there's no triple squeeze to make it this time if GIB does its usual thing in not leading the ace.

Gib has no clue how to bid slams!
When partner opens 2♣ they are in charge until they bid NT or sign-off (even then sign-offs most of time)
Bidding 7♥ is just ridiculous.
Beside the obvious that might be off an ace 7N might be safer. Partner could have ♦ support and 7D safer.
To get to pts to bid 7 I suspect Gib is counting it's 2 doubletons.
Doubleton just aren't clearly pulling weight in 7H.
Need controls and tricks to bid slam! Not whatever silly point count method Gib is using,

sympathize with wbartley. i wonder though how many 2C openers will have only 2 aces (when they don't have a void). i walk on egg shells when dealing with GIBidiot. Might have bid 3 NT over 3D because of stiff DJ. Even when walking on eggshells there are disasters. Merely an alternative point of view. Full sympathies to wbartley.
The other day righty opened 2S I bid 2N and GIBBbonics bid 7D. Luckily was cold. "Points" SUCK big time.

Your 2N bid does show a good handful of "points" (say 15-19) plus a S stopper.
Of course it's still primitive to jump to a grand slam in suit knowing so little about partner's hand.

It has been a long time goal of mine to have a rule created that GIB always bids blackwood on the way instead of jumping to 6 or 7 of any suit.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
