I think the only explanation is that GIB had accidentally left the 1C bid on the table from the previous board, hadn't seen his partner's 1S bid, and intended to open 2C ;)

Very solid bidding by GIB West. Never double that particular West because it always has a lot of extras. You have to know your bots B-)

I notice there hasn't been much monitoring of this forum by anyone working for BBO lately. I would think this is easily reproducible.

The problem isn't whether it is reproducible. Almost everything posted here can be reproduced. Fixing it is another problem.
