Since ages, There is almost no posts on this exotic subject. Has it died now?
I still find the idea extremely exciting but sadly do not see much interests and popularity among all levels of bridge players

My impression, and this may be unfounded, is that the super serious scientist types who liked stuff like the Precision asking bids transitioned over to relay type methods.
The early rounds of relay auctions focus on revealing shape and the relay breaks are normally used to limit the hand / explore strain / look for stoppers for NT or some such.
However, you will on occasion find control asking bids as part of the process of exploring slam.
You also have a lot of other folks who are playing strong club, but prefer more natural methods in the early rounds of their GF auctions... Needless to say, you don't find them playing asking bids..

Long time Strong Club player here:
We play minimum relay methods for suit distribution, but rarely for fragment descriptions. We use Beta (for controls) & for responders suit and SAB-3 (Alpha revised for opener's suit), CABs when slam looks possible. I play this scheme in 2 partnerships for over 10 years now.
Edited 2/17 @ 9:30 pm: CABs when slam looks possible (moved)

I have somewhere your old notes
I would like to learn more about your minimum relay method and the modified SAB-3.
CAB for responders suit and not TAB?
I am finding it interesting

We have kept some of the asking bids in our precision system but it seems most precision pairs have given them up.
We use transfer like positives. Accepting the positive implies a fit and asks AK controls like the old CAB. Following this start we can make side suit asks or trump suit asks, like the old epsilons and gammas.
After a transfer positve, accept, control ask answer, we use 2NT as a Jacoby 2NT like bid using Larry Cohen's alternative Jacoby answers. This works well.
These bids don't come up often but when they do, they can be helpful.
If I was playing with someone who hadn't played a big club before, I wouldn't bother with any asking bids.

Comment edited above (2/17) to make more sense. TABs rarely used.
