it seems people who play in it have no idea what is standard BBO 2/1!
cant it be set up like when one plays with the bots that you can preview the bids
before you make them....alot of players make all sorts of weird bids over 1NT etc
you get the drift.
If this were set up then everyone would learn what BBO 2/1 is

1NT semi-forcing is probably more popular than 1NT forcing nowadays, so if they want it to be forcing they really should say so, 2/1 is not enough.
But if he passed with a hand that can pass 1NT semi-forcing then there probably wasn't game anyway.

I have these auctions
1NT 2♦ is it diamonds or majors?
1NT 2♣ clubs or something else
1NT double
if folks in indy could see what their bids are supposed to be before they make them
it might help everybody.

OK, but I guess what you are after is the GIB bidding system or some arbitrary 2/1 based system that is imposed for this kind of tournament - 2/1 itself has nothing to do with the way you interfere over a 1NT opening. I think GIB plays Cappeletti.

There is no standard for indys, it's a crapshoot. In the Free Automated Fun tourneys you're expected to play 2/1, but there's no way to enforce it.

so why not show some sort of BBO card for 2/1 is that really that hard?
even the ACBL had at onetime yellow card tournaments

And they weren't popular so they went away.
thanks Barry
maybe we can start a 4NT game and make it a real crap shoot....
pass 3 cards left 2 accross and 1 right and opening bid has to be 4NT
and dummy gets to choose declarer or opps
