voice at teaching table in v3

Voice works at a teaching table (the "voice" button goes blue when I start the table) if I started my browser, which is Chromium-based Edge, and went to https://www.bridgebase.com/v3/ via Favorites - but it does not work if I typed the same address in the address bar or made a desktop shortcut with that address and clicked on that. I've seen threads in the past on issues with getting voice going - I'm OK, but I want to be able help any student who encounters this kind of problem going forward. Can anyone provide any insight?

It must just be a coincidence. How you get to the page does not make any difference to the workings of the application.
