Second hand high another recurring glitch

When gib lead a spade off dummy I gave serious thought to taking my ace for fear of exactly what followed. Having played hundreds of robot games since joining 3 years ago, I’ve seen this movie many, many times. It may seem funny when we see it, but it’s downright painful when it happens to you. What kind of programming what have gib doing this time, and time again? Either declarer has the jack or I do. It’s difficult to make it through a round without at least one severe punch to the gut from gib.
