My partner declared a contract of 2 spades, making an overtrick for +1. BBO scored it as -2.

Do you mean this hand?

Just a stab in the dark, but it seems that play stops just before the A is played.
Is it possible that an incorrect claim was made at this point?

It's not claim related (or scoring related) According to the lin file, the club 9 was played by North, then the club 2 was also played by North, while later on the spade A and spade 2 are both played twice, all of which breaks the whole handviewer and result of the hand.

Have seen this happen on extremely rare occasions, especially if the server is experiencing issues and people are getting disconnected / reconnected, when it forgets what cards have been played and what trick you're up to.. I would be very surprised if the OP said players at the table weren't having connection issues.

Here's the proper handviewer link, where you can see the cards played in the URL (including all the faulty ones):

I see what you mean. Strangely if I copy the link and paste it (below) you can see all the tricks, but when I just look at the link you provide it still stops before the A.
Because (as you say) it appears that the file requires North to play 2 cards (both bold PC are in North's hand)!

Yes, that is the hand, and North did indeed experience a brief connection dropout.

When I reviewed the hand in History, and later via Handviewer Link, the play didn't encounter a hiccup until the final lead. And the scoring was correct up to that point. So I assumed that the connection dropout wasn't the issue. But what you show tells a different story, with a hiccup on the fourth trick. Thanks for explaining that; I've never seen it do this before, and was truly baffled.

I'm guessing North played the club 9, disconnected, reconnected, and at that point it glitched and still showed them on lead, at which point they played the club 2 instead. (It probably then froze again for them after cards had already been played to the next trick, thus the duplicate SA/S2 in the final result).

From your perspective everything looked fine until the very end when the other card of the 2/9 got played, after which is precisely when your version breaks.
