And when two pairs read the list wrong and sit at each other's spots? (yes, I've had that happen, straight up. I also had one read their assignment wrong and end up in the wrong event, and have the "absolute last minute" pair not know their assignment, just sit in the "obvious hole").
Not criticizing - you do what you need to do. And doing things in such a way that "there's only the right way" is definitely the right way to do it. But "Murphy was an optimist".
