I prefer Ogust but can live with Feature, so long as I know what it is promising.

Today my robot opened 2 and I had a likely slam, but with doubts about Axx T.
I decided to start with 2NT and partner bid 3, explained as "Feature, 8-10 HCP, Q".
Queen? Oh well.
I stopped in 4+2 for 22%.
Partner had KJT432 and KQ9.

I usually like to have 13 cards in my hand, but on weekends I relax those standards so 4 cards is OK.

I assume Q means Q or better, so Q, K or A, or KQ, etc. Is 6 a good contract?

A feature for GIB is any A, K, or QJ combined.

GIB used to describe honors as "8421" points, where A=8, K=4, Q=2, J=1. So 8+ 8421 points would show the ace, etc, and here a feature shows 3+.

BBO changed the descriptions in 2014 to use suit symbols instead, because according to them most people found 8421 points confusing, so, for example, 8+ in hearts got changed to "A".

3 days after BBO made the change, people pointed out that this was far more confusing, given the lack of 'at least', and the fact that 3+ was mistakenly changed to "Q", rather than "QJ+" like it should have been. Barry agreed it needed fixing.

Fastforward 9 years..

Thanks for the details. Yes "QJ+" would be fine as a description. I could live with it as an agreement, although I would have thought K+ is more usual and that was what I needed here.

What's 9 years for such a difficult fix?
