NS did well to reach slam here. Should EW save?

Seeing all 4 hands, it appears to me yes, 6 will make for 1370/1390, and declarer will make at least 8 tricks in spades for -1100, but whether it's worth taking a save for more than the value of the opposing game without seeing the hands depends on the scoring method and how confident you are in the slam being bid elsewhere.

The scoring method is IMPs converted to VPS, I believe. I think maybe East should bid 5S over 4NT and then sit if Mystic Meg bids 6C on the South hand.

How does this factor in?

4 is wide-ranging, I don't know that East could have done anything on this deal. Both South and North made some guesses that worked out this deal.

If Mr and Mrs lol aren't going to bid the slam at any of the other tables, and you reckon you're going for 800-1100, you're probably going to have to take your only chance of a decent board which is that 6 going off.

Are you SURE you can beat 7c ?? You may have won a ton of imps just by taking up oodles of space. I see no reason to arbitrarily take a sac here as it may even be possible to set 6c. East should never be a factor here acting with balanced trash is a good way to make partner become WAYYYYYYYYYYY too conservative in the future.
