I still don't understand Argine's claim algorithm

This has been there since day 1, and there was some discussion at that time, but, South declarer and on lead with spades trump, claiming 3 tricks is rejected (as were numerous claims earlier in the play as soon as I had all but 1 trick guaranteed.)

I guess some people don't like the way GIB accepts claims, but I would prefer claim requests go to GIB even when playing with Argine over this..

yes, Argine's claim engine is different from GIB's.
it is more restrictive and won't accept claims if there are high trumps out.
also, it won't accept a claim on a 100% finesse (if the one of the opponents showed out or you have full count)

i also like that with gib you can claim in more situations and finish the board quicker.
the disadvantage with gib's claims is that you need to be on lead to claim.
we have improved this in the new version. now you can claim with gib even when you are not on lead (Argine already supports this).
we plan to improve gib's claiming even more.
