Challenge the Robot

I was south and opened 1D NV vs Vul.
1D-(P)- 1NT - (X)
XX-(2C) - ?

My XX was a 4=4=4=1 18HCP.

My bot partner XX=XXX=AXX and QJ9XX of clubs. It bid 3C instead of Xing 2C (especially with them VUL and us NV).

I don't remember GIB doing anything that crazy.

I also don't understand why BOT bidding is NOT duplicated at both tables when the same start occurs.
At the all BOT table, 2S was bid after 1NT (instead of the BOT's X at my table.

Thanks

Not the best person to help about GiB, but as a fellow victim I am no longer surprised when after a double GiB cues the opponents' suit with a grossly insufficient hand: not infrequently it has that suit or no better idea, despite the explanation offered.
As I understand it such things did not improve with GIBBO.
If you are playing with a dumb partner, make it easy for them: 3NT rather than XX was obvious IMO.

The other all BOT table bid 2S over 1NT and south made a penalty X collecting 500. If I had bid 3NT instead of XX my 400 or 430 would still have lost IMPS. Do you know why GIBBO is bidding DIFFERENTLY when the same auction starts?

I think bidding 3NT with a weak partner is decent bridge. Not much interested in what happens with a table of robots.

IIRC it was written here by @lorserker of BBO that GIBBO has been reprogrammed with AI to make more human leads.

I have not been monitoring GIBBO but have had a few strange auctions I think. That is what happens with AI. At least GiB did not try to pretend much

And I am relieved that Pescetom also gets upset at the overambitious and unnecessary cuebid

I have had a few competitive auctions recently where my initial instinct to pass after my partner is doubled and keep the auction low was wise too

I am prone to light openings so need to be extra careful now
