I just think it’s a great problem and we rarely get the time to discuss these during online sessions. Hopefully it is of help and interest to we intermediates.

Just a quick caveat: I’m posting a hand I played with one of my favourite BBF partners. This isn't to point fingers—I’ve already done enough to embarrass myself on here!

Pass for now. There is a big risk that West has a big hand in a minor suit and can't take a joke if we bid hearts. Having our opponents open in our 6 card suit is also terrible news. Also the chance of this being passed out is very slim. Wait for partner to finish bidding, then consider introducing the hearts.

Looks like partner has a hand too strong to overcall 2m.
They will note like my hand when I table dummy but they will like it even less if I make a move now (the best way to end up in 5m or 4H in a 5-2 fit on bad days).
Of course if the sequence takes another direction we ll have more info to see if it is worth mentioning those H.
