i'd bid 1nt and expect partner to bid 2H with 5 and 6-9, if he thinks the 7 card fit is better than 1nt... i'd not introduce spades at all on this hand.. better would be to just open 1nt tho :D

Support with support. That I agree on. Now if only the hand would fit...
1♠ or 1NT, depending if you have agreed that you can bypass a major. I'm not the "bypass major" kinda guy so a simple 1♠ for me.
