Toronto traffic is a mess today:

Up to 75 vehicles involved in pileup

Expressway to remain closed

The expressway for the downtown core is the "Gardiner Expressway"

The Gardiner Expressway was expected to remain closed in both directions from Yonge Street to Spadina Avenue during the Monday afternoon commute due to fears of falling ice from the CN Tower.   Police closed the busy downtown expressway during the morning rush hour after fist-sized chunks began falling from the 553-metre structure in high wind gusts.
