7NT on the bidding is obviously the place to be, but to get there you need to know about the heart 8 and T in the NS (here EW) hands. Seven clubs has no real play, and even 6C has some problems (on simulations). AT this point, with this grand slam bid, GIB (or and Jdonn) are in 4th place in the scoring and 2nd in the lower group.
