What vulnerability? Vulnerability ALWAYS matters if you're talking about opening a preempt.

But I hate opening a preempt with A-K outside anyway. I flip a coin between 1H-then-4H, if that shows distribution-but-not-high-cards in our system, and pass. I'm sure many partnerships play styles that allow a preempt here but I dont.

2 is ridiculous. 3, on the other hand, is a serious candidate.

I think this is what I really meant, I just forgot about the possibility of being V/Nv.

3 or 4, depending on things like partnership, vulnerability, form of scoring. I think 1 and 2 are both pretty bad.

I don't think this suit quality is good enough for any level of preemption on second position. I am contemplating pass as a real alternative.

That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

4, although it could be very wrong. 2nd choice 1, 3rd choice 3.

2 is just weird even with 40 on.

I will pass.

1. bad suit quality plus good side suit controls.
2. If opps have spade suit, we are unlikely to preempt them successfully.

dont preempt too much
