I've never known the best way to handle this hand .. and it keeps coming up! Any opinions would be appreciated.
You have an opening hand with 5/5 major + clubs. Partner opens 1m and bidding proceeds 1m - 1M - 2NT - ... You are playing Wolff signoff + 3D checkback with minor suit slam tries starting with 3♣. Right now 4♣ is Gerber over 2NT or 3NT on this sequence.
Presumably you have to start with 3♦ to check the major .. when partner bids 3oM or 3NT .. under what circumstances can you show a slammish hand with a good 5card club suit?
Does anyone have good agreements for this hand? Does it matter whether partner's opening bid was clubs or diamonds? You could have a good 6♣ in either case.
Thanks!

How do you show 5/5 with clubs over a 2NT rebid

If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it then how bad a decision could it really be?

Stop playing Gerber in this situation. Stop playing Gerber in ALL situations!

That's certainly the easiest way. In order to Gerber you should bid 3♦ followed by 4♣ over 3N, or you have to RKC in a major. It's a very rare occurrence that you'll want to bid Gerber here, usually you'll have something you want to check back for etc...
I like a direct 4♣ to be slammish and 5/5.
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!
