Why is north inviting with a 7 count and 8ish total points? Even if I guaranteed 4 cd spade support like GIB apparently thinks, I think this is rather much.

Some suggested tweaks:
- 2s should show 3-4 spades, 11-14hcp, 12-15 total points, not "4+ spades".
- 3s should show 5+ spades, 10-12 total points (with 4 spades try something else, usually)
- 4s should be 14-15 total points rather than 15 only.

No, I think it's better the way that it is. 1 only shows 4+ so you'd need 4 to support it. It's better to show strength with jumps and invites to game with rebids rather than more length. It probably simulated that it'd be best to try for game even with fewer points since it thinks you have at least 9 spades combined which is a definite asset.

Fred has crowed about how GIB raises with 3 Spades- the expert standard.
