That only works if you play that 3 as natural, which is not completely obvious to me (I would assume it's a generic probe for the best game, but perhaps it should indeed be natural).
I would rather try a direct, natural and invitational 3, intending to bid 4 if partner bids 3. May get us too high on a misfit though, but at least it's pretty clear 4 is NOT forcing (I could have bid 2 then 3 with a forcing hand).
