I'm still fuzzy on exactly when GIB considers form of scoring, but this is matchpoints. At all tables, the auction was the same up through 1; then various human Souths passed, (support) doubled, and bid 1N, 2 or 2. West bid 3 over pass, 1NT and 2, but he passed over 2 and double. Why is West sticking his neck out when it rates to get chopped off? (As it happened, no one in this tournament doubled 3.)

I doubt West's 3 scored very well at mp -300

GIB probably saw its perfect 4333 distribution and saw all its ruffing potential

There are some distinguishing features but the basic criticism is the same. We are informed that this will be improved in v.30. Hopefully to be extended to the generality and hence this hand.

Psych (pron. saik): A gross and deliberate misstatement of honour strength and/or suit length. Expressly permitted under Law 73E but forbidden contrary to that law by Acol club tourneys.

Psyche (pron. sahy-kee): The human soul, spirit or mind (derived, personification thereof, beloved of Eros, Greek myth).
Masterminding (pron. mPosted ImagesPosted ImagetPosted Imager-mPosted ImagendPosted Imageing) tr. v. - Any bid made by bridge player with which partner disagrees.

"I will be with you, whatever". Blair to Bush, precursor to invasion of Iraq

Yes, fix covers this kind of raises as well.

West would bid just 2 now. Raising to 3 would need also more unbalanced hand than 4333.

Georgi: Will West now bid 2 over all of the various actions by South (pass, double, 1NT, 2 and 2)? I still don't understand why GIB competed when NS did not show a fit but did not compete when they did.

Yes. 2 over all calls by South.

1NT shows 12-14 and 2/X shows just 4/3 cards fit. So South doesn't show strength at this moment.

Over pass it might be reasonable to bid pass, but it's very specific case, and 4 trumps are hard to express later especially if opps reach level 3 when next round to give a call comes.
