If 1D is 2/1?
If 1D is precision style?

Did 1♦ promise 4? If just 3, without any agreement I think 4♦ is probably natural and preemptive.

Of course, if it's something else then it's probably slam going, so my pass will be expensive. :(

1♦ showed 2+, and I would say preemptive as well. Not quite sure what Michael intended it as, any ideas?

If 2D is Michaels and 3D asks for a stopper for NT or is preemptive with D then 4D says that we have game in a major or more if you have the right cards. 5C and 5D responses would be control showing with acceptance of either major, while 4H and 4S would be to play.

I play a 4-minor overcall as a good 4 major bid with some people. Not demanding control responses, but showing a hand that feels it is too good to overcall 4 major but doesn't want to go slowly.

Is it possible he meant to bid 4H but pulled 4D by mistake (undo lol).
