I bid 5D now. Hands such as these are always difficult and I think 5D is the most practical bid. No Mike, definitely NOT 2C gf. Why? If the opponents happen to get into a high level C contract and partner doubles, he won't expect me to hold this hand. If you pull the double and its wrong you will cop the blame!

Ya, 3c, unbalanced game force D, always going to 5D, but planning on sitting 6cX depending on bidding. I am not bidding 1H but 3c so I am unsure what bidding you object too.

Is this a real bridge hand? Why haven't the opponents bid? They have a minimum of eight cards in each black suit and a fair share of the high cards. I'm bidding 5♦, then excusing myself to go to the powder room.
