As director for our small private tournaments, I like to look at my friend players list to make sure all registered players are online and possibly delay the tournament if they are not online. I have noticed a few players don't always show up in the friends list even though they are online. Is there some config option for them that makes them not show up in my friend list?

If they're on the Casual server you won't be able to see them if you're on the main server.

It's also possible they logged in invisible. If they choose to login invisible, they won't be listed in the People tab, even if you can chat to them or see them on the list of registered players for your tournament.
