Master Points Awarding seems strange

I played in a robot tournament yesterday and finished #1 in my section and #11 overall (68.77%). I am a "C" player. I noticed another C player in my section finished with a lower score (67.32%) than I did and yet was awarded more points(1.20 vs. 1.05). How does this work?

Was this an ACBL daylong tournament?

They have hidden "metasections" that are used to award overall points.
