I managed to get to 5 diamonds by bidding 4 instead of passing the first double. The bad break is unlucky but etc. This is another victim, anonymised to protect their identity. Is it just me or is the first mention of diamonds being at the 7 level very unusual indeed - bypassing 4,5 and 6. I get the feeling somebody knew about an amusing feature of GiB 2/1

Nice. It's basically the same bug you brought up a couple of months ago. The broken forcing pass system means that when projecting the auction, it (incorrectly, of course, unless you're playing with free robots) believes that East will bid 7♥ over 7♦ a large proportion of the time, making it a worthwhile gamble.
